Developing tools for Autonomous Driving

Our team is working to develop a number of tools for autonomous driving from simulation systems to large language models. The work you do will use to test current simulation models and also help develop new models to be tested on real world vehicles.

We are currently building two seperate simulation environments to work with our existing autonomous vehicles. We need help setting up the environment including map details for our various locations that we drive as well as the vehilce models that will be needed. We then need to integrate this with our existing ROS2 software stack. This would be a hands on integration and build task using real world simulation environments like unity and Robotics software.

Next we are also working on a number of AI techniques for training and driving the autonomous systems. The team would be split up to help our current PhD students working on different aspects of the AI models we use. For example to help build, test and evaluate some large language models that are being use in pedestrian detection, or building and testing Deep Learning models as well as collecting and sorting the data needed to develop an on road driving system.
