Calypso Stock Market Trading (5 sub-projects)

Modelling of stock market data to derive insights into the degree of human vs machine based trading.

Students will explore `trending' technologies to collect and analyse data working in a true team environment with real-world problems and dependencies. There are 5 projects on offer:

Team 1 (PM/Arch) - Project Management & Solution Architecture
Continuous evolution of solution architecture to meet customers' requirements
Team 2 (Data) - Extract Transform Load
Extraction of Open Source data, transformation and storage of data in agreed format(s)
Team 3 (DB+Deploy)- Database & Deployment
Implement dGraph and/or other databases including containerisation (eg- Docker)
Team 4 (AI) - Artificial Intelligence
TensorFlow implementation to provide insights
Team 5 (UX) - User Interface & User Experience
React user interface for visualisation of data generated

John Wiese - Head of Software at Thales Australia is the project customer & mentor who will provide insight into Agile tools and techniques for the delivery of complex projects. Goal is to increase student employability while providing an opportunity to pick a specialisation within the project. As with any project, additional sub-roles will emerge during project execution.
