Advanced HE applicant management system

In March 2019 UWA achieved accreditation with Advanced HE and from this established the UWA Higher Eduation Academy Fellowship Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to build the profile of teaching and learning practices at UWA and offer staff a globally recognised accreditation for their teaching practices. It represents one of the major strategic initiatives of the DVC Education.

The Educational Enhancement Unit will be administering the scheme. Based on the experience of other institutions that have implemented similar schemes, the administration is likely to be a substantial task thus we are seeking support to develop a platform that will assist our team and the those involved with the scheme. The process of managing applicants from initial registration through moderation and feedback, and final award is very complicated, however there is a possibility to compartmentalise it and develop a solution to manage just one or two of these processes.

We envisage that such a platform would include a web interface for registration, separate interfaces for staff with different roles in the process (applicant, administrator, mentors, assessors, external moderators), applicant tracking, task allocation, document submission/storage and automatically generated email notifications.
