PhD Student Expression of Interest and Application Management System - Phase 2

The Graduate Research School at UWA is responsible for coordinating and actioning the student expression of interest and application process for PhD students including the critical task of linking potential students from all around the world to the right researchers and research teams at UWA.

The current process needs streamlining and for duplication of work that happens at multiple points to be reduced, and to bring all elements in this process to a system run by UWA. Currently jotform is used for the initial expression of interest, and other software or paper forms are used for the application proper and for scholarship application and the school assessment form.

The scope of this project would entail working on enhancing a fledgling system that is able to capture all PhD enquiries and expressions of interest, and allow the information provided by potential students at that point to automatically be used for all the other parts of the application process, where information from the source flows through the system with no need for repetition and where all the data is stored at UWA, and reports can also be produced with ease to have oversight of all enquiries coming in to UWA from around the globe.
