Online tool for oral feedback in foreign language learning

This project aims to develop an online tool to provide feedback on oral language production (in particular accent and pronunciation) to learners of foreign languages, enrolled primarily in first and second year foreign language units. While the current LMS used at UWA allow for the upload of mp3 files, the process of recording/saving/uploading/posting oral language production samples (and subsequent instructor's oral feedback) becomes lengthy and not practical for large cohorts (more than 100 students) that require weekly assignments. The tool to be developed would ideally consists in an online application that allow for the recording and automatic upload (or saving) of an mp3 file under a student's individual assignment page, from both the student's end and the teacher's end. The students need to be able to access the assignment page through an individual link (or through a personal account on the app) and record/save their voice by simply using commands on the screen. The instructor must be able to access each student's individual recording and record his/her own oral feedback, which has be retrieved by the student later.
