EZONE Workspace Booking System
EZONE UWA is a multi-stage project for the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.
The project is commencing with the creation of a Student Hub through the refurbishment of the Environmental building (#222) and the construction of a new building (#275) within the western precinct of the Crawley Campus. The aim of EZONE UWA is to improve the facilities and student experience on campus.
The Faculty precinct spans a considerable portion of the Western flank of the Crawley Campus, from the Computer Science Building adjacent to Cooper Street down to the newly completed IOMRC Building and across to James Oval. All University buildings have assigned numbers, and many are also named after the primary user(s).
The new and refurbished EZONE Student Hub will have bookable individual desks, meeting rooms and lockers.
We are looking for a tool that is accessible to any device and will:
-
Allow users to view floor plans showing the locations of bookable spaces and their availability;
-
Allow users to view meeting rooms facilities using a 360 degree rotation camera view (not live feed);
-
Allow users to search for an available locker;
-
Allow users to search for an available study space based on a set of selection criteria;
-
Provide users with information on whether a particular space is booked and for what periods;
-
Provide users with a description of facilities and user instructions;
-
Allow approved users to add, modify or cancel a booking;
-
Allow administrative control of bookings and booking criteria;
-
Check that the user is in the space at the booked time;
-
Release the booking if the user is not using the space.
-
Monitor and report usage of booked spaces.
Ideally this solution would be able to work seamlessly with internal navigation and wayfinding solutions.
