Data Extraction from Hospital Records

Hospital records contain information which is useful for research, however these records are often structured or formatted in a way that is difficult to access, particular at scale. Often this results in records being re-entered by hand, which is both tiresome, and represents a significant expense in research assistant time.

This project involves parsing the textual output of a hospital operating theatre management system to extract details of patients and operations being performed. The data will then be output in a structured format. It is not expected that a full parser will be needed, regular expressions as well as sanitisation routines will likely be sufficient.

The project product will be a software module that can be used by multiple systems that require access to this data. It is preferred that the solution be implemented in Python 3.
