The current process is a excel spreadsheet that requires the admin team to personally and constantly make updates. This data spread sheet is always out of date as people leave or they get an extension of contract or stay longer etc.
The scope of this project would involve the group to come up this a online booking system similar to what a hotel uses but holds information more relevant to our needs, assisting the team to be able to see an over view of availability when allocating desk space across our three buildings on campus. The system will hopefully also have an online desk space request portal that supervisors could use to request desk space before the person arrives on campus, and an alert system for the admin staff informing them of when desks are due to be vacated.
