Using VR to visualise mining data
A previous thesis by a student loaded a mine dataset into a VR environment, and showed how that would be useful to mining engineers. More work is required to use "off the shelf" packages (and the latest cordless headset, or Hololens) to take more types of mine data into VR, and apply textures, filters, queries etc. See MineLife VR for something similar to what is desired.
