Stock Management System

In research and healthcare significant inventories of various items must be maintained, checked, and documented. This is complicated by items moving between various stock locations, as well as certain items which expire and must be disposed of after a period of time.

This project building a web application to manage inventory between multiple stock locations. The application will allow the management of stock items, inventory locations (and sub-locations within these), stock checks, signing items in and out of locations, manage expiry dates, and will produce reports on the quantity of stock used, and the stock items which are required (when locations have minimum stock specified). The application will also implement used authentication and maintain an audit log.

As an extension, time permitting, the system may also be expanded to log other activities carried out at stock locations (checklists).

The project product will Ruby on Rails application, and prior experience is highly recommended. The front-end interface may use ReactJS if this is seen as necessary.
