CITS1001 Mid-semester Test 2014: Test Protocol

Updated 18 March 2014

This page describes the procedure for taking the cits1001 mid-semester test.

Read this carefully, because with a time limit of 35 minutes for the entire test, it is important that everyone gets seated smoothly and quickly.

The test is taken in the TWO assigned lecture theatres during a normal lecture time. Please arrive 5 minutes early at your assigned venue.

  1. When you arrive, place any bags that you are carrying at the front of the lecture theatre. Make sure that your mobile phone is turned OFF and is left in your bag

  2. You may take only the following equipment to your seat: your UWA student card, pens, pencils, an eraser, a watch, water bottle. No calculators are allowed.
  3. At the start of the exam, the batches of papers will be passed along each row. Take the top paper from the batch, pass the remainder along.

  4. The invigilators will announce when there are 20 minutes left, 10 minutes left, and 5 minutes left. You must stop writing when they ask you to.

  5. There is no way of leaving the lecture theatre without disturbing other students. Therefore, no-one may leave the room before the end of the test.

  6. When you have finished, bundle the answer sheet back together with the question paper, and hand the entire paper back in.

  7. Pass the completed papers in the same direction as they were handed out, with each student collecting a batch from their neighbour, adding their own paper, and passing the entire batch to their other neighbour.

  8. You must remain seated until all papers have been collected. Then the invigilators will announce that you may leave. Collect your bags and leave.

Thank you for your co-operation and good luck in the test!!
